Compared to the previous AirPods, the design of the Pro is slightly different. These are true in-ear earbuds again, with three sizes of silicone tips included. Furthermore, the stem features a pressure sensor that allows you to perform various actions.

Cut yourself off from noise with noise cancellation

The Apple AirPods Pro (2021) let you enjoy your favourite music to the fullest thanks to noise cancellation. Active noise cancellation constantly adjusts to the shape of your ears and ear tips. This suppresses outside noise so you can listen to music or make phone calls in the best possible quality.

Transparency mode to let ambient noise through

Still want to hear your surroundings? Then press the pressure sensor on the stem to switch from active noise cancellation to Transparency mode. This ensures that ambient sounds are let through. This way, you can still talk to people without taking off your AirPods Pro.

Control via pressure sensor or Siri

A pressure sensor is placed on the stem of the AirPods Pro (2021), which you use to perform certain actions. For instance, with one press, you can answer an incoming phone call or play/pause your music. Two presses take you to the next song and three presses take you to the previous song.

And when you keep pressing the handle, you switch between action noise cancellation and Transparency mode. In addition, you can also use Siri to play a song, control the volume or request directions by saying "Hey Siri" and then your request.

MagSafe charging case that extends your battery life

On a full battery charge, the AirPods Pro have a listening time of 4.5 hours. And if you turn off noise reduction and Transparency mode, you'll get 5 hours of listening time. With the included charging case, you can charge the earphones multiple times, so you can get through the day/night!

Just before you leave, you find out your Apple earbuds are running low on battery? No problem. After 5 minutes of charging, you'll have about 1 hour of listening time. The charging case of these AirPods Pro also lets you charge wirelessly with a magnetic MagSafe connector.

The convenience of wireless

The Apple AirPods Pro (2021) now support Bluetooth 5.0, for a more stable connection. The earbuds automatically connect to your iPhone or Apple Watch as soon as you remove them from the case. In addition, you can listen to the same music on two different AirPods via 'Audio sharing'.

Pairing AirPods Pro with Android

Do you have an Android phone? Then you can simply use the AirPods. However, some features are missing. For instance, you cannot launch Google Assistant, the music does not automatically pause as soon as you remove the Airpods from your ears, and you cannot see the battery status of the earbuds and charging case on your smartphone.

Sometimes the AirPods may not seem to work quite right with Android. This is due to a setting. For an optimal connection, Android users need to set the Bluetooth audio codec to AAC. You do this through the developer settings on your Android phone.
